Water Taxi

Camp Fircom is located on Gambier Island so all guests must arrive by water taxi. The water taxis depart from Horseshoe Bay Public Dock, just west of the Boathouse Restaurant. The boat ride takes about 20 minutes and the camp is a 2-minute walk from the dock. Camp Fircom staff will meet you when you arrive to help bring your belongings to the cabins. Private boats are not allowed at Camp Fircom, as they do not have moorage available.

We will charter the water taxis ahead of time. The water taxi costs $35 each way. If you choose to board one of our scheduled water taxis, please send $35 per person, per ride by e-transfer to andreaandjordanwedding@gmail.com or by PayPal. We will ask for preferred departure times at a later date.

Getting to Horseshoe bay

Public Transit from the Airport

If you're headed to the camp straight from the airport, the transit route is fairly straight forward and not much longer than driving. There is a Skytrain station right at the airport. Take the Canada Line to Vancouver City Centre Station. From there, transfer to the 250 or 257 bus at Georgia/Seymour and take it straight to Horseshoe Bay.

Driving

If you plan on driving, keep in mind that you'll have to leave your car in a parking lot for a while. If you have a lot of stuff, you can drop it off at the water taxi, find parking, and then walk back to the dock. Places to park include:

Horseshoe Bay Ferry Long Term - Lot #1748 - this lot fills up quickly so give yourself enough time

• $20 per day

• <10 minute walk

Horseshoe Bay Overflow Parking Lot

• $10 per day

• 15 minute walk

Consider taking a rideshare or an Evo if you don't want to deal with parking.
