What do you mean "activities"?There will be a bunch of camp activities available at Fircom on Saturday, including archery, canoeing, hiking and various lawn games. Please refer to the Camp Fircom Activities section for more details.
-
What should I wear?Bring a semi-formal option for the wedding and reception. We'll be spending a lot of time on grass so wider heels or flats are recommended. For the rest of the weekend, wear whatever you'd like! If you want to participate in the nature activities and games at the camp, some outdoorsy outfits and shoes are a good idea. It can also get chillier in the evening, so pack some layers and/or warmer options.
-
What about drinks? There will be a variety of sodas, juices, and coffee both in your accommodations and at meal times. For alcohol, there will be an open bar with beer, wine and a selection of cocktails during the reception. You can bring your own alcohol for the rest of the weekend - cans only, please! Recycling will also need to come back with us.
-
I'm still confused. No worries! Get in touch with us here.

What should I bring? For those staying at the camp, here are some recommended items for your packing list: Sleeping bag or bedding - let us know if this will be an issue and we can try to arrange something for you. Warm sleepwear - the cabins are not heated. Toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner - the camp doesn't provide any toiletries. Running or hiking shoes Rain gear - hopefully you won't need it! Warm clothes for the evenings Swimsuit, towel and water shoes, if you're brave enough to go in the cold water. Extra snacks and alcohol, if you plan on drinking outside of the wedding itself. Any hobby items - instruments, games, etc. Keep in mind that everything has to be taken off the island once we leave!
-
Do I have to stay the whole weekend? The event goes from Friday, September 5 to Sunday, September 7 but you do not have to stay the whole time. If bunk beds and cabins aren't your scene, you can come for just the day of the ceremony, September 6. Also, the site can accommodate more guests than it sleeps so, in the unlikely event that the overnight spots fill up, priority will be given to our out-of-town friends and family. Please visit our getting there and schedule pages for more details.
-
Can I bring my kids or pets?No children or animals at the wedding, sorry!
-
How does the food work? All meals from Friday evening to Sunday morning will be provided. On Saturday, there will also be cocktail hour appetisers and a late-night snack. There are no stores on the island so you are more than welcome to bring personal food if you're a snacker. There are refrigerators at the camp but the kitchens are sparsely stocked so it should require little to no prep. Keep in mind that nothing can be left behind; we have to take all leftovers and garbage back with us.
